Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"As a lifelong resident of Western Massachusetts, I’ve come to expect very little out of restaurants in the area. The last time I was really excited by a meal in the 413 was the first time I went to Daily Operation; coming to Little Trúc, I felt everything I felt there plus more. It isn’t very cheap but it’s comparable pricing to any upscale but not fine dining establishment (think Easthampton’s late Cocos). Definitely reasonably priced for the quality food that will leave 2 full for $130 after 20% tip(we didn’t order drinks). We started off with the Milk bread which we knew it was gonna be a little bit disappointing but we were hungry and wanted some food quick so it did the job. It wasn’t actually bad milk bread it just wasn’t anything super exciting. It came with a flavorful butter and a nice glaze on top and was a nice way to start the meal and definitely worth the order if you haven’t tried before. We followed that with the cabbage salad which was the highlight of the meal for me. As a fan of banh mi, this was like a perfect salad. It was light and felt like all the flavors of banh mi as a salad. I personally always feel like banh mi is the perfect food besides the heaviness of the French bread and this completely eliminated that. Best salad of my life easily. Pad see ew came next and was also a hit. Highly recommend if you’re not too against the spiciness to go crazy on the green sauce it comes with, it’s tangy and delicious (jalapeño cilantro zingy kinda vibe). We shared the chicken for the last main and it came with the chef’s signature sauce, which I was excited to try. My only complaint is that the chef’s signature chili garlic sauce was basically a homemade version of CHIN-SU (which of course makes sense for a south east Asian restaurant. I just wish they mentioned the similarity ). Obviously a lot of diners in this area are people who have only had Sriracha, but for those of us who know what CHIN-SU tastes like I would’ve liked to try something different on the menu but maybe that’s my fault. Obviously that doesn’t lose any points just my personal pet peeve of the night which might’ve just been my own fault. I can’t really complain when I ordered a chicken with chili garlic sauce and got chili garlic sauce with it LOL. Chicken was incredible and really well seasoned and fried definitely order it!!! Dessert was another highlight specifically the Vietnamese coffee sundae, which was actually an excellent portion that three people could easily share. Very well, balanced, not too sweet ice cream but very sweet whipped cream that balanced it well. Ordered the ube cream puff and was mildly disappointed with the lack of ube flavor but overall still a solid dessert. Definitely will be coming back!!!"
"A really wonderful dining experience! The space is hidden in Eastworks, but once you enter it's wide and open and gorgeous. I had really friendly, fast service, and enjoyed everything I ate. I'm not super familiar with southeast Asian food and the food surprised me a bit with it's unapologetic spice and use of fish sauce in something that reminded me of gumbo, and the martini. Everything was tasty and executed well. It's relatively simple food, but done well and (I can only assume) authentically."
"Went here on Velentines Day and had a lovely time. Food was delicious (turmuric tofu was my favorite)! Friendly service and a good atmosphere."
"Absolutely incredible. In the top 3 restaurants in the valley for me. Will be back again and again. We got almost every dish on the menu and all were amazing."
"We loved our meal here! We did a radicchio salad, a noodle dish, fried cod cheeks, and a curry dish. We also did some cocktails, and dessert! It was very indulgent but we wanted to try everything. The waitress recommendations helped. I think about the noodles a few times a week; best I’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!"
"Every single meal I have gotten from this restaurant has been incredible. They do a fantastic job of explaining the dish, the flavors and then bring them to life. Their staff is incredibly kind and their food is the best in the valley. That's a winning combination!"
"Little Truc’s new dining space is beautiful, and so is their food. Their use of Southeast Asian flavors creates a culinary journey that, for me, feels like coming home. I visited again recently to try their new menu items. The quality was consistent and the flavors were stunning."
"Amazing food. All four dishes and dessert were delicious. Servers were kind and prompt, and we had a nice seat in a beautiful spot they’ve carved out in an old mill. Highly recommend for adult dinners."
